Subtle Changes Means Constant Improvement
Notice anything different about our logo?
You may not, but the change is big to us. We removed the dot from the “i” in the logo, which may seem subtle but it is also extremely important.
When evaluating the staying power of a logo, aka a branding instrument, one must ask themselves if this logo or "mark" is complete. At Activ8Media our team is constantly striving to improve our current offering and we do not believe in "victory laps," celebrations or anything else that takes our eye off getting better. As we dissect everything we do we realized that the dot above the "I" in our logo was throwing off the balance of a 1-unit logo. Because we feel the "I" is a given when viewing the core logo, we decided to remove the dot above it to represent our brand in a sleeker, more digital friendly way.
The UFC did something similar less than a year ago, making subtle adjustments to the “UFC” logo that many people may have not even noticed. But to a trained eye, and to a company like Activ8Media where branding is a critical matter, the slight change represented moving into a new, even more modern era.
Activ8Media is just starting its era as a business, but one thing we are passionate about is never being satisfied with the status quo. When we saw the Activ8Media logo, we knew we had something great and something special.
But what makes our business stand out is we are never going to stand pat. Even if it’s minor refinements, we are always aiming to improve and those are characteristics we will always bring to our partners.
Do changes like this matter? As a branding and marketing professional for more than a decade I would say....ABSOLUTELY. Do they matter to the average person, We will find out!
