Rogue Fitness Expansion
Rogue Fitness was established in 2006 by William C. Henniger and based out of a garage in Toledo, Ohio. Today, Rogue’s main headquarters has moved to Columbus, Ohio and has experienced outstanding growth in the fitness community. Rogue, focusing on strength equipment, started their expansion by knowing their demographic and reaching out to the fast-growing sport of CrossFit. From there, Rogue has taken off and now provides top of the line equipment for Olympic lifting, Strongman competitions, and powerlifting. Rogue also has endorsements through sponsorships of some of the world’s fittest athletes: Rich Froning, Camillie Leblanc-Bazinet, Dan Bailey, and Lauren Fisher. Rogue can be spotted on all forms of equipment form barbells to racks, provided for the Arnold Sports Festival and the CrossFit Games.
Rogue has already had an incredible amount of success, the main reason being because their marketing tactics are not done in a traditional way. Rogue strongly believes in the “word of mouth” marketing technique to grow their brand. The company has recently announced on various social media platforms that they are starting to expand the Rogue Campus to Columbus, Ohio. Construction is already well under way and by building this new facility, Rogue reports to have over 300 employees there and over 90 more open positions. Columbus Mayor, Michael Coleman, provided that Rogue’s 15.3 million payroll currently provides $382,500 in city income tax revenue and the new jobs will add around $3.8 million in annual payroll, making $95,000 in annual income tax.
