The videos are going to be on the top of its search results and posted with news and information while games are being played.
Hans Schroeder, the NFL’s Senior Vice President for Media Strategy, Business Development and Sales, stated that, “this expansion of our partnership will make it easier than ever for the millions of highly engaged avid and casual fans on YouTube and Google to discover and access an even greater variety of some of the most valuable content in the sports and entertainment business”. Google’s mission is to gives fans the opportunity to see the top highlights on their own page rather than forcing them to go to other websites. The NFL is also going to release three of the most famous games in history from each NFL team to their YouTube channel before the 2016-17 season kick off. This is another part of the deal and it is sure to be a big hit since the channel has just over 1 million followers.
Google is making some wise moves and the expansion will most likely play out very well for them.
