Browne Activ8's on Good Day LA
With all that has been happening around the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) the past week, it’s easy to get lost in the drama. With much of the attention being placed on the fiasco between Conor McGregor and UFC President Dana White regarding whether Conor will fight in UFC 200 or not, alongside this past weekend’s main event, UFC 197, everything else involving the sport has seemed to have taken a backseat. However, other fighters and marketers are still out there doing their jobs to ensure that a high level of promotion is taking place leading in to what is set to be the highest grossing UFC event in history, UFC 200.
Just recently, Activ8 Media athelete, Travis Browne, appeared on the morning talk show Good Day LA to talk about his upcoming fight against Cain Velasquez in an undercard bout at UFC 200. From the interview, you can see the amount of professionalism and respect Browne and Velasquez have for each other. When asked if it bothered them being interviewed together, Browne responded with, “It’s a competition,” and Velasquez with, “This is a business”. This is what the UFC is all about, business, it is a business. As a part of these major events, it is in the fighters’ duty to attend media days and conferences, take part in media tours, and activate the sponsors and events through social media and guest appearances. All of this not only helps build the brand of the UFC, but the personal brand of the fighter and any sponsors he may be affiliated with as well. In Travis’ case, this would be Activ8 Media!
