Apple Strikes Deal with SAP

Nicholas Tice / Contributor

As iPhone and iPad sales continue to decline, Apple has struggled to put out a groundbreaking product to get the public stirring this year. With no major product release on the horizon, Apple CEO, Tim Cooke, has turned the company’s attention in a different direction. The announcement of Apple’s newest collaboration came last week when the company officially partnered with SAP, a German based business software company. This partnership will allow companies to create, secure, custom iOSbusiness applications through the SAP Cloud platform and available on all Apple products. SAP has over 300 thousand major corporations already using their software so this partnership with Apple will allow SAP’s current users to utilize their software more readily on Apple devices as well.

A mega partnership between these two technology powerhouses has massive revenue gaining potential. As Apple’s brand has long been associated with innovation, let alone being the highest marketing company in the world, a partnership with them is necessary for any software company who wants to be on the cutting edge of their field. Since Apple dominates all areas of devices in the market from desktops, mobile phones, laptops, and tablets, a business will be able to more easily connect all its employees through the same app being exclusively developed for Apple by SAP. This technological conglomerate also furthers Apple as a leader in the field, promoting the sale and use of products such as the iPad to major corporations.

Apple is one of the most recognizable and respected brands in the world. The company has spent years developing a brand that reflects innovation and dependability. By making Apple products more business friendly, secure, and applicable through their partnership with SAP, Apple will start to tap into a segment of their business that has been underdeveloped in the past. Activ8 Media co-founder, John Fosco, has often shared how service and value should be major platforms for any business in increasing brand awareness. Through this partnership, both SAP and Apple will be able to provide a much more valuable product to their customers that will enhance the way they are able to do business, effectively increasing brand awareness and positively activating their brand.
